Redirecting a Rebel

Sermon for June 16th, 2019

Beyond the Tomb

During this series we want to look at the appearances Jesus made to people after the resurrection. We will find that even today we experience some of the same emotions and feelings. Because Jesus rose from the dead our eternity has been changed. Every day we can be reminded that the story is never over, and Jesus has something to say about our lives.

Week 8- Redirecting A Rebel

Pentecost continues. The Church is on the move. God is working through His people but it’s not always safe. We see a guy named Saul who is trying his best to squash the early church. He wants to kill them all. Saul is instrumental in the murder of the first Christian martyr, Stephen. Jesus doesn’t leave this work for anyone else to do. He comes to Saul on the road to Damascus. Saul’s life is forever changed when Jesus redirects his path. God can take the worst of rebels to change the world for His glory. God can turn the rebel heart of stone into a heart of flesh to serve and love people.

Listen to the message today and be challenged by God's Word.
